The evening includes a question and answer period with the artist, where the audience has the chance to get to know the performer on a personal level.\n\nLittle Brick welcomes Travis Matthews, an Alberta singer songwriter whose music is built around a pretty simple idea: put a smile on your face.\n\nTravis has brought his warm, high energy performances to the Edmonton and Canmore Folk Music Festivals and opened for artists at folk clubs across Alberta, including the Calgary Folk Club, Nickelodeon Folk Club, and New Moon Folk Club. Along the way, he has developed a reputation for shows that blur the line between performer and audience, pairing soulful sing alongs with an infectious sense that everyone in the room is part of what is happening.\n\nMusic runs deep in the Matthews family. Travis performs alongside his father, Gord Matthews, whose own career has included playing with k.d. lang and the Reclines and Ian Tyson. Together, they bring serious musicianship to music that never takes itself too seriously.\n\nThat spirit extends beyond the stage.
