In other words, expect some stories between the beautiful songs.\n\nPronounced “ace in abbey” and “eye,” p.s. – for when you tell all your friends about the show.\n\nDetails: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Festival Place (100 Festival Way, Sherwood Park), $42 – $46 plus fees at festivalplace.ca\n\nGarret T. Willie: Road-dog powerhouse bluesman Willie is back in town with a very sweet new song called Going to Toronto which literally summons Bryan Adams and BTO at one point.\n\nThe upbeat Canadian love letter, says Alert Bay, B.C.’s Willie, “picks up right where I’m Late left off, me chasing the next gig, somewhere between where I’ve been and where I’m headed. Just me, the highway, and a single cab truck that’s seen a few miles of its own.”\n\nSinger-songwriter Kat Logan opens what looks to be a super-fun gig, get ready to carve your best dance moves into the party pit!\n\nDetails: 9:30 p.m. Friday at Blues on Whyte (10329 82 Ave.), $25.11 at bluesonwhyte.com\n\nOrchid Fair: I’m guessing that even if you’re not an idiotic all-year cyclist like me, you’re pretty happy winter’s back appears to be busted, yeah?\n\nSo what better way to preview the impending scents of spring and summer than 15,000 square feet of tropical fertility full of orchids from around the planet at the 46th annual Orchid Fair?\n\nFlowers, photography, judged display entries and of course the opportunity to adopt an orchid of your own are all waiting.
