It takes cues from their short social media videos, in which they engage in a great deal of shenanigans.\n\nPublicists compare the show to “an unscripted Letterkenny or Shorsey” but could also be described as an unholy hybrid of Bob & Doug McKenzie and Ow! My Balls!, from Idiocracy. It’s an off-colour, winning formula that has gotten the brothers somewhere over 350k followers on TikTok.\n\nAccording to the Dawson, there was no intent to go viral with their videos. The brothers were simply having fun goofing around on the lot of their multi-million-dollar Vegreville parts shop, more intent on entertaining themselves and their friends than drumming up business. They’ve been at it since 2018, finding a niche market for new and used RV parts after initially starting out as used car dealers.\n\nAn appearance on Dragon’s Den in 2022 helped with their online profile.\n\n“I guess we’re familiar faces now,” he says. “We were maybe a little bit drunk, and then we had to be not so drunk because our business started growing. So it just kind of snowballed.”\n\nIn 2023 they were approached by Lionsgate Canada, who pulled in Tierney. According to the brothers, Tierney has largely kept his hands off the six episode series, which follows Jagger and Dawson as they run their business while also planning and building a haunted house. As with their social media videos, antics ensue.\n\n“We just did what we wanted,” says Jagger, who with his brother grew up in Sherwood Park before opening the lot. “It was like they just came down and were recording our day-to-day life at the shop kind of thing.\n\n“There were a lot of people recording you. It’s hard to watch TV now because now we understand the production side, and it’s kind of crazy because I feel like this was like our busiest summer.”\n\n“It’s just perfect,” Dawson interjects. “It’s just who we are, so it’s great. They came, they filmed everything, then they left and we’re like ‘I wonder how they’re gonna portray us,’ because you don’t know, they could edit it or whatever. But they showed us the show, and honestly, I think they did so right by us, like just genuinely capturing our true characters. So for me, that’s my biggest takeaway because they could have made me some suit and tie business guy, right?”\n\nAt of writing, the Glowatskys are in a bit of a waiting period before the show drops. They’ve been out for a few publicity runs, most recently in Calgary for the Stampede as well as Toronto for interviews.\n\nThe celebrity treatment is nice, but Jagger doesn’t really think it will fundamentally change the brothers.\n\nWe went to Vegreville to get these Young Farts involved in the #Oilers home schedule release, but they ended up running away with it… 🚐 #LetsGoOilers pic.twitter.com/BXuegxGYFL\n\n— Edmonton Oilers (@EdmontonOilers) July 16, 2026 “I think for people in town it’s just going to be another thing these crazy guys are doing, right? It doesn’t feel like it’s real yet, honestly. Honestly, when they came here, it just felt like the crew was super cool. We were just hanging out with friends, so I still don’t even feel like we did a TV show, I feel like we were just hanging out with a new set of friends we had. We just have no idea what happens to life afterwards.”\n\nYoung Farts Trailer Parts premieres July 17 on Prime Video.\n\nRelated Joy as resistance: Valerie June confronts chaos and crazy times with 'a little bliss' on new record\n\nReview: Broadway Across Canada's Clue a slice of comedic comfort","url":"https://edmontonjournal.com/entertainment/young-farts-trailer-parts-prime-video-alberta","imageUrl":"https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/edmontonjournal/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/trtc_s1_episodicstill_1920x1080_106_en-ca_explosion_2-1-_3000.j_304318289.jpg","publishedAt":"2026-07-16T19:03:10.000Z","sourceLabel":"Edmonton Journal Music","tags":["Entertainment","Local Arts","Television"],"authorName":"Tom Murray","contentHtml":"
At the very least, the stars of Young Farts Trailer Parts hope to score a few free cold ones at their local bar when their new Prime Video comedic docu-series premieres Friday.

“When I get to three beers, it’s gonna be pretty sweet,” admits Dawson Glowatsky as his brother Jagger laughs along. “Maybe I can bum me a smoke.”

The series, executive produced by Jacob Tierney (Heated Rivalry, Letterkenny) and directed by Brent Hodge (Quick Hits, Longest Third Date), focuses on the brothers and their RV parts shop Young Farts RV Parts.
