To be clear, Martin Dockery didn’t write this review, but he did write The Review by Martin Dockery.\n\nFans of the frequent Fringe performer will be familiar with his dialogue-heavy performances centred around rapid-fire banter and characters that turn the conversation in circles, twisting it inside and out for both laughs and dramatic tension.\n\nDockery sits down for a job review at his law firm, making pleasant banter with the partner in charge of his review, played by Andrew Broaddus.\n\nThings start pleasantly enough, two colleagues going through the motions and laughing about all of the meetings they have to get to, so let’s just get on with it. But slowly, the scene takes a turn. There’s a shift, comments tossed out in jest taking on more sinister undertones and the conversation becoming problematic for the Human Resources department.\n\nRead all our Fringe reviews here Accusations of infidelity and nepotism start to fly and what started as a performance review has run so far off the rails it wouldn’t be surprising if someone pulled a knife.
