The most uncomfortable thing was to notice that the rest of the staff seemed to already know that behavior; even one of the workers tried to help me with a friendly smile, as if trying to soften an obviously uncomfortable situation.\n\nThe most contradictory thing happened inside the room, when before the movie the message appeared on screen that Metro Cinema is a safe space that does not tolerate racism, xenophobia, homophobia or discrimination. Honestly, after the experience I had just lived outside, that message felt empty.\n\nI think it is important to point this out because cultural and artistic spaces like this should reflect in practice the values they publicly promote.
